Most people probably don’t think about food when considering how to celebrate Earth Day.

Students from across California and their family members will converge on the UC Merced campus April 16 for Bobcat Day.

Junior Sammantha Fajardo wasn’t satisfied with merely representing UC Merced on the cross country course, so she stepped up to represent the university’s student-athletes at the national level.

While at UC Merced, students work diligently to achieve academically and reach their leadership potential. Each year, the Margo F. Souza Student Leadership Center awards top students and student organizations for their outstanding leadership qualities, and honors staff and faculty members who have helped students accomplish their aspirations.

In high school, Domonique Jones knew she wanted to go to college. She also knew it wasn’t going to be easy.

A variety of campus events are planned for October in observance of LGBT History Month, which was first commemorated in 1994.
