The University of California, Merced, announced today (July 7) the appointment of Albert Vasquez to the dual role of police chief and assistant vice chancellor for campus and public safety, effective Aug. 17.
When students walk across the stage at this weekend’s commencement ceremonies at the University of California, Merced, they will join the nearly 4,000 scholars who have earned degrees from the university, while marking yet another campus milestone as the campus’s 10th graduating class.
From the moment students walk onto campus, they have access to countless resources, including the Peer Assisted Support Learning Support (PALS) program, which is part of the Calvin E. Bright Success Center.
Students, faculty and staff are encouraged to stop by the California Room from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. on April 22 to learn more about the services PALS provides and enjoy food, games and prizes. Learning assistants and staff members will be available to talk about the program’s resources.
