A Tradition of Knowledge: Research Week
April 7-9, 2009
At UC Merced, learning goes well beyond textbooks and classrooms. Research Week is a once-a-year event that spotlights the significant research and scholarship taking place on campus. Research Week is an opportunity for the campus community and the general public to be introduced to the many innovative projects underway at UC Merced.
“This is our way of opening up the campus so that people can see what drives virtually all learning at UC Merced – the research performed by our exceptional professors and other researchers,” said Vice Chancellor for Research Sam Traina.
We welcome everyone to participate in this year’s events and discover the many ways UC Merced researchers – students, faculty and staff – are working to find solutions to society’s most pressing needs.
