Freshman Intent to Register Deadline Extended through May 19
Students who have been offered freshman admission for the Fall 2006 semester at UC Merced have been granted an extension to file their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). Incoming freshmen are now welcome to submit their intent to register through Friday, May 19, 2006.
Directions for students to log in to the UC Merced portal and submit the freshman SIR online are available by clicking on the Current Applicantslink of the Office of AdmissionsWeb site. The UC Merced portal is an all-in-one site that allows students to access important information related to admissions, financial aid, housing and class registration.
First-time users must start by obtaining a UC Merced Net ID.
For additional information or for assistance, students are encouraged to call the UC Merced Office of Admissions at (209) 381-7880 or (866) 270-7301 toll free in California, or send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Incoming freshmen and their families also are invited to "Experience UC Merced," a special event hosted by the campus on Saturday, May 6 to give students a first-hand glimpse of what UC Merced has to offer. Beginning with registration at 10 a.m., the free program runs through 1 p.m. and features overviews of academic programs and students services, a panel discussion with current students and campus tours.
