Description: Join the Chancellor's Advisory Committee on the Status of Women for our upcoming Women We Admire Series, with Vice Provost for Faculty and McClatchy Chair in Communications, Professor Teenie Matlock.

Matlock is a professor of cognitive science and a founding faculty member at UC Merced. She received her Ph.D. in psychology from UC Santa Cruz and has published more than 75 articles on how humans use language and how it influences everyday reasoning. She has been the recipient of two UC Merced Senate awards and is the former vice chair of the American Indian Council of Mariposa County, among her many accomplishments.

This series is modeled after the UC Office of the President's series, which invites women from campuses to discuss insights about their careers, challenges in the workplace and work-life balance.
