MERCED - The University of California, Merced, will host a
“Building Local Partnerships” event from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.
Thursday, May 6, at the Boys & Girls Club in Merced.

Sponsored by The Greater Merced Chamber of Commerce, “Building
Local Partnerships” will teach visitors how to do business with
Merced public agencies and institutions while meeting purchasing
representatives from UC Merced, City of Merced, County of Merced,
Merced College, Merced County Office of Education and the Merced
Union High School District.

Also, a UC Merced Small Business Development Center consultant
will be available for free general business consulting and
technical assistance. The SBDC Regional Network assists Central
California’s entrepreneurs and small business owners by providing
one-on-one consulting, small business training and research.

There will be presentations from each of the institutions at 9
a.m., followed by a question-and-answer segment. Attendees will
then be free to visit each of the agency tables, meeting the
purchasing representatives directly.
