Freshman Intent to Register Deadline Extended through May 19

Students who have been offered freshman admission for the Fall
2006 semester at UC Merced have been granted an extension to file
their Statement of Intent to Register (SIR). Incoming freshmen are
now welcome to submit their intent to register through Friday, May
19, 2006.

Directions for students to log in to the UC Merced portal and
submit the freshman SIR online are available by clicking on the

Web site. The UC Merced portal is an all-in-one site
that allows students to access important information related to
admissions, financial aid, housing and class registration.

First-time users must start by obtaining a UC Merced Net ID.

Incoming freshmen and their families also are invited to
“Experience UC Merced,” a special event hosted by the campus on
Saturday, May 6 to give students a first-hand glimpse of what UC
Merced has to offer. Beginning with registration at 10 a.m., the
free program runs through 1 p.m. and features overviews of academic
programs and students services, a panel discussion with current
students and campus tours.
