UCOP Web Site Celebrates, Educates for Constitution Day

Constitution Day is usually observed on September 17, celebrating the day that the 55 men of the Constitutional Convention gathered in Philadelphia to sign the United States Constitution. This year, Sept. 17 falls on a Saturday, and so the University of California, Merced, joins with sister UC campuses and other institutions across the nation in observing Constitution Day on Friday, Sept. 16.

UC Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs M.R.C. Greenwood has led an effort to create a Web-based learning experience for UC students about the United States Constitution. All students, faculty and staff are encouraged to visit this site to commemorate Constitution Day. From this site, you will be able to find a number of other resources to help you learn about the Constitution.
