Arts at UC Merced

UC Merced's offerings include the Global Arts Studies Program, the Media Arts Program,  as well as a minor in art, through the School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts that include courses in art history, musicology, drawing, painting, sculpture, photography, vocal performance, theater and more. 
Arts UC Merced Presents is a public performance series featuring quality professional artists in a range of programming that fulfills its mission to not only entertain but also educate and enrich. The program also coordinates the annual "Bobcat Art Show" each spring, which showcases art created by UC Merced students, faculty and staff.

Merced Multicultural Arts Center — Merced County Arts Council

The Merced Multicultural Arts Center is a modern, three-story facility run by the Merced County Arts Council that provides space and support for arts education, training, world-class performances, tours, and five galleries showcasing arts and cultural exhibits of local and national importance. Don't miss the Arbor Gallery, a retail cooperative of over 30 regional artists.

Merced Symphony

The Merced Symphony Orchestra, formed more than five decades ago, performs throughout the year in local venues.

Playhouse Merced

Founded in 1995, Playhouse Merced is a live theater that performs more than 12 shows per season on both our Main Stage and Black Box spaces. We hold open auditions for each show and love to see new faces audition. Playhouse Merced also offers classes in acting, dance and voice for children ages 5-19.
