The success of UC Merced continues to depend heavily on the recruitment of dedicated educators, researchers, administrators and staff employees.
UC Merced has a firm commitment and a fundamental need to recruit, develop and maintain a diverse, robust workforce. The university has already assembled a strong team of dedicated administrators, faculty and staff who are working together to create a distinctive identity for the campus.
UC Merced is the largest employer in Merced County. In just four short years, the university has grown to 145 faculty and approximately 650 staff employees who help 2,700 students meet their academic goals. As the university continues to grow, so will the need for faculty and staff to support the university's strategic academic vision. In fact, UC Merced expects to grow to 15,000 students and 800 faculty over the next 15 years.
