Miguel A. Carreira-Perpinan
Associate Professor
School of Engineering
Research Interests
Professor Carreira-Perpiñán works on several areas of machine learning — the estimation of models and representations from data. His research is inspired by pattern recognition problems, such as speech processing and computer vision, as well as by computational neuroscience. Professor Carreira-Perpiñán's long-term research goals are to design algorithms for complex information processing problems, and to understand how neural systems solve such problems.
