Professor Karin Leiderman's interests are focused in mathematical biology, specifically in biological fluid dynamics, biomechanics and biochemistry.
For her doctoral thesis, she developed a spatial-temporal model of the formation of blood clots under flow. She has since been working on other problems related to blood clotting as well as more general questions about porous media flow, regularization methods and scientific computing.
