Benefits
Benefits Services supports the human resource needs of the university and its employees in Benefits Services:
- Provides departmental training classes to academic and staff employees on employee benefits plans and services offered by the University of California, including retirement, savings programs, health and welfare plans, disability, and life insurance;
- Provides benefits counseling and processing of related payroll activities to employees affected by layoff, leaves, or retirement, and to employees, family members, and beneficiaries affected by death;
- Coordinates the annual open enrollment process, including benefits and financial fairs for employees;
- Provides support to the campus on-line system for processing benefits enrollments, changes, and transactions;
- Coordinates the statement of health process for life and disability insurance plans.
