Child Care for Faculty, Staff and Student Families

Welcome to the UC Merced Child Care Web page. This Web page serves as the child care information resource for the UC Merced campus community. UC Merced recognizes the importance of child care to its young families and plans to build an on-campus child care facility within the near future. Fundraising for the child care facility is underway now.

To help UC Merced families address their current child care needs, the Campus is partnering with the Merced County Office of Education (MCOE). MCOE serves as the local resource for child care in Merced County through ACCESS—A Child Care and Education Services System. ACCESS matches parents with local child care providers. In fall 2006, the campus surveyed our faculty, staff and students on their child care needs and preferences. The survey results are posted below along with a list of campus parents interested in helping UC Merced find creative solutions to meet our parents’ child care needs.
